About Us

Rimini Software follows an old-school business model: we provide a service that is valuable to our customers. We earn income by providing a service and that makes our customers’ businesses more successful.

The company was founded in 2009 by Daniel Joy and John Sherwin. In 2010 Rimini Software started a project with Monroe Therapeutic Massage to develop the Rimini Scheduler. Rimini Software has extensive experience developing rich internet applications, e-commerce systems, and web sites. The company also has expertise in e-commerce and Quickbooks integration.

Management

Daniel Joy
Partner

Daniel has many years experience working in academics and industry. He combined his passion for science and high performance computing as the Life Sciences Market Segment Manager for Sun Microsystems and later for Hewlett-Packard. He worked at Microsoft through the launch of Windows HPC Server. In the 1990's, Daniel led his first start-up company. That company created the worlds fastest genome fragment assembly program. Daniel's roles at Rimini include UI architect and developer, business development, marketing, and sales. 

John Sherwin
Partner

John has more than 15 years experience as an IT professional working with clients in the telecommunication and entertainment industries in the US and Europe. He was a technical and business process consultant with Accenture, a solutions architect in Accenture's Seattle Mobile Commerce Lab and lead data warehouse developer with Microsoft's Entertainment and Devices Division. He has extensive experience executing and managing projects of all sizes and has remotely managed teams in China and India. As with Dan, John wears many hats including business solution architect, developer, business person and one of the principle client engagement partners.
